| General Overview | Sabastian is a kind and caring individual. He has a great sense of humor and is a patient person with everyone else but himself. He tends to hold himself to higher standards and is merciless with himself whereas with others he is compassionate. As a person and friend he is loyal but it takes a lot for him to trust people. He does know what he wants and tends to breakdown things into steps until his goal is met. He is quick to give help but slow in asking for it. Sab has a protective personality. He is one of those types of people that is the first to arrive and the last to stay. He is a hard worker, detail orientated and an outside the box thinker. He likes to observe people more then he interacts preferring quiet time to gatherings but will attend parties and recognize the achievements of coworkers and friends. | Personal History | Sabastian was born on Betazed on October 17 Continent: Dalar City: Dalaria Sabastian was born to a Vulcan Mother (Diplomat) & a Betazoid Father (Scientist). He was an unplanned birth and his portents split shortly after his birth. In January of 2329 Sabastian and his mother left Betazed from the Dalaria Spaceport and moved to Vulcan. Vulcan Education: 2329 - Moved to Vulcan Sabastian's stay on Vulcan was brief. His medical visits many. His mother, Emelie, worried constantly because since his birth he had not uttered a word. He seemed withdrawn ever the observer. She first thought it to be the Vulcan blood in him and then the constant arguing she had with her first husband but when they moved and he still hadn't spoken she began trying to find a medical reason. Sadly the medical community was stumped as well. In 2330 his mother fell in love with a human doctor who was on Vulcan. Dr. Gelton Telroy a London native. The man, a specialist in the field of medicine that dealt with speech issues could not find anything wrong with Sabastian either but he was the first one who made it seem like it was okay for Sab not to talk. Sabastian started school in 2341 and still did not speak but from the beginning his intelligence couldn't be denied. His grates were top 3% on Vulcan and his teachers found that his work spoke where his mouth did not. 2344 - Moved to Earth, London, UK In 2343 Sabastian was gifted with a certificate for advanced learning on Vulcan and in 2344 his mother was assigned to Earth, London, UK as a diplomat from Vulcan. His step father, Gelton followed a few months after the move. In 2344, just three days after Sabastian turned 18 and with a Starfleet acceptance letter in hand he said his first words. "I'm gong to marry him." The words shocked his step-father, his mother, and his younger siblings almost into heart attacks. Sabastian and his family were eating in a Café when a young waiter came to take their order. After he left Sabastian spoke pointing to the waiter, also a student about to start at the Academy the following year, A student named Zai. Academy Years Not much is known about Sabastian's Academy other then that he describes it as the best and most heart breaking time in his life. School wise he excelled as an Engineering student and was very involved in extracurricular life at the Academy. He was head of the archery team, horse riding team, and even had his own art show at the Academy Gallery. He graduated in 2348, the same year he was in a shuttle accident. A year later, after he recovered he was assigned to his first ship. In 2349 he was assigned to USS Fox, Engineering Department with the rank of Ensign. USS Fox (2349-2352) During his time on the Fox Sabastian proved himself a skillful engineer. He also made friends and slowly started to rebuild his life after loosing the person he loved to someone else. He still stayed in contact with Zai and settled for a friendship even though he knew he would always yearn for more. He would live for small stolen moments of their conversations on subspace and that was enough for him. Work wise his department heads were impressed with how he was able to work the engines and fix things with outside the box thinking yet still never skirting the bounds of regulation. In 2352 he was promoted and transferred to the the USS Hephaestus one of the top Engineering ships in the fleet. They were known as the floating ship shop going to fleet ships and fixing things on the go. Sabastian was able to hone his skills but soon his restlessness eased and he yearned for more stability. In 2356 he applied to Starbase 2 to be the Chief Engineer and was accepted. It was there that he connected again with Zai and this time they friendship moved into more romantic territory. In 2358 he was promoted to Second officer of Starbase two and married the love he'd waited for throughout his life. Zai and Sabastian married and in 2359 he was assigned to the USS Arcadia as a temporary Flight Officer so he could be with his new spouse. |
