Forgotten Wounds

Post Count: 98

The USS Arcadia is dispatched from Starbase 1 after Starfleet receives a fragmented distress call from an Antares-type Federation transport, the Bright Horizon. The transport vessel is carrying civilian families and thirty-seven children relocating to a Federation colony. A systems failure has left the transport disabled and adrift in the center of a previously uncharted minefield composed of blackout and blade mines.

Joining the USS Arcadia, is a Klingon D7 Battlecruiser. Together, the two ships conduct a precise rescue, stabilize the transport, and deploy a subspace warning buoy marking the minefield for future disposal. They must uncover the mysteries of the minefield and ensure that The mission ends not with weapons fire, but with fragile cooperation, providing proof that even the remnants of war can be dismantled, one careful choice at a time.

Shore Leave - Starbase 1

Post Count: 48

In late 2260, the USS Arcadia rests in spacedock at Starbase 1, her hull framed by Earth’s blue curve and the steady traffic of the Sol system. Engineers are swarming through her decks, installing long-planned system upgrades: refined sensor pallets, reinforced defensive matrices, and command-and-control enhancements informed by recent frontier encounters. The work is thorough and unhurried, projected to take several days.

With the ship secured, the crew is granted well earned shore leave. Some return planetside to Earth, rediscovering family, culture, and quiet skies untouched by red alerts. Others have scattered to nearby systems such as Vulcan, Alpha Centauri, and orbital resorts that offer rest, reflection, or distraction. For many, it is a chance to remember what they serve, and why.

As the calendar turns toward 2261, the Arcadia will be preparing to depart once more. Her mission remains clear: to strengthen bonds within the Federation and with its allies, to extend aid and relief to worlds still bearing the scars of crisis, and to stand ready against emerging threats. Upgraded, renewed, and resolute, the Arcadia will sail into the new year as both diplomat and defender carrying Starfleet’s ideals wherever the stars demand them.
